The AEIC Load Research Committee is proud to host
The AEIC 2010 Load Research Workshop - Advances and Applications in Load Research On Estimating Load Impacts of Energy Efficiency Measures
3/7/2010 - 3/10/2010
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Orlando, FL
Workshop Goal:
The 2010 AEIC Load Research Workshop will focus on recent changes in the methods, processes and applications of load research data and analysis. The
processes of developing load research estimates are continually being refined and the value of these analyses are more and more apparent in their ever-increasing application by utilities, regulators, and customers.
The workshop objectives are to present timely and informative sessions on the emerging technologies in load research. We anticipate great presentations
and discussions on topics such as Advanced Metering, Meter Data Management, Demand Response programs, and energy efficiency initiatives.
This workshop will provide a theoretical yet practical opportunity for load research practitioners to gather together to discuss best practices, technological advances, reporting requirement changes, and new applications of load research data. All attendees will be encouraged to actively participate in the workshop by presenting or evaluating a paper, by participating in round-table discussions, and by working on real-life load
research problems.
Refer to Association of Edison Illuminating Companies when making hotel reservations to receive the special room rate of $144.00 per night.
Check-in time is 3:00:00 PM and check-out is 11:00:00 AM.
Workshop Format
The workshop is designed to be very informal and interactive. At the workshop, several participants will present papers. One or more participants will evaluate each of these papers offering an opinion on its strengths and weaknesses and alternative approaches to the issue. A few participants will act as panel moderators coordinating the work of several other participants who will research various aspects of the particular topic assigned to the panel. Every paper, evaluate and panel discussion will be opened to the floor so that all participants can ask questions, answer questions, express opinions and generally contribute. Everybody works, everybody contributes and we all learn together. In order to have a very informal atmosphere and to facilitate dynamic discussions, the workshop is currently limited to 35 participants with preference given to utilities and other energy providers.
